If you're passionate about health and wellness, enjoy motivating others, and want to make a meaningful impact in your community, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your training career.Essential ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement personalized fitness programs tailored to individual goals, abilities, and experience levels.Lead one-on-one training sessions focused on strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, balance, and overall wellness.Teach proper exercise technique, movement patterns, and safe progressions to help clients achieve results while minimizing risk.Monitor client progress and adjust programs based on performance, goals, and health considerations.Build positive relationships with members while providing encouragement, accountability, and professional guidance.Work with a diverse client population, including older adults, athletes, teens, beginners, and individuals returning to exercise.Promote YMCA programs, services, and wellness opportunities that support member success.Follow YMCA safety procedures and complete incident or accident documentation when required.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment.QualificationsCurrent nationally recognized Personal Training certification required (ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, or equivalent).CPR PRO, AED, and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.Strong understanding of exercise science, program design, and fitness instruction principles.Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.Ability to motivate and inspire individuals from a variety of backgrounds and fitness levels.Commitment to safety, professionalism, and outstanding member service.SchedulePart-time position with flexible scheduling, including:AfternoonsEveningsAdditional hours based on member demand and trainer availabilityBenefitsFREE access to fitness centers and pools at all YMCA of the Roses locations.Discounts on YMCA programs and lessons.FREE Child Watch services (up to 3 hours per day while working, when available).Why You'll Love This RoleEvery session presents an opportunity to help someone take the next step in their wellness journey.
