In addition to steel walls, we manufacture steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead and other custom fabrications.As a Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator, you are an integral part of our organization. Responsible for operating and maintaining machines that extrude or draw out plastic hoses, deck drain, and other custom plastic products. Every employee is responsible for quality control; you help us make the best products in the industry.Essential Functions of a Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator:Successfully completes forklift training and obtains certificationProvide the safest possible workplace by modeling and following all company safety policies, reporting, and acting upon any incidents or unsafe conditionsBecome familiar with operation of less advanced manual and automated machineryBasic understanding of process and flow of the departmentOperate machines at a rate which will meet scheduled production requirements while maintaining safety and quality standardsUnderstanding of company's work instructions, production standards, safety procedures, quality standards, and SOP'sLearn basic Global Shop procedures (clocking in & out of jobs, daily production & material transfers, checking inventory status, and completing daily tasks)Develop an understanding of product knowledge to perform quality checks on partsLearn how to knowledgably read prints/documentsLearn how to complete production and quality data sheets with accuracyQualifications for a Plastic Extrusion Machine OperatorHigh School diploma or equivalent Previous manufacturing experience preferredExperience operating a forklift preferred/ the ability to obtain certificationWill be required to climb, lift, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlAbility to lift 50 pounds independentlyAbility to work at a steady and consistent pace 2nd Shift 3:45 PM - 12:00 AM (Monday - Friday)Here's how OUR family takes care of YOUR family:Top-notch Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision)Competitive additional benefits package including 401k matchingGenerous PTO & 11 Paid HolidaysPaid Parental Leave (Mothers, Fathers, & Adopting Parents)Fully Paid Short/Long Term Disability & Life InsuranceClean, Safe, and Comfortable Working ConditionsCardinal Systems Inc. is a family owned, family-oriented employer that has made employee safety the top priority for over 45 years.
