JOB TITLE: Recreation Worker (Part-time) DEPARTMENT: HealthCLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt CATEGORY: EssentialDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Greet members and guests and direct them to appropriate areaAnswer phones and handle facility information requirementsMaintain cleanliness of front desk and surrounding areasInteract with members and guestsExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate critical thinking skills and resourcefulness when handling problems that may occur.Report complaints and enforce rules with guestsBe able to multi-task during high traffic operating hoursSell merchandise, membershipsCommunicate effectively with staff, members and guestsBe a team playerMaintain confidentialityProvide comfortable and inviting experience for members and guestsWilling to work various hours including weekends, and special eventsProvide tours of the facility as requestedGym supervisionFitness equipment orientationsSet up/tear down activities as determined Recreation CoordinatorAssist with various programmatic activitiesAssist with Youth Program operations including but not limited to direct supervision of youth, assisting with various programming, and being a positive role model Assist with drop-in daycare as assigned by supervisorOngoing cleaning of facility and wiping down equipmentOther duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.Prefer two years of work experience with one year in customer serviceCustomer service, organizational, and time management skillsMust respect Meskwaki cultural beliefs.Must be knowledgeable and proficient in PC word processing, Excel spreadsheet, Internet and emailPrefer cash handling experienceMust be able to meet and communicate with the publicMust submit to and successfully complete background investigation.SUPERVISION:Supervised by the Recreation CoordinatorSALARY LEVEL:Annual Salary Range: $16.66 hourly Applicants will be required to submit to a background check and to a pre-employment drug test.
